Gwen Laats, a senior, is in her first year of Journalism & Media Studies at Pacific Ridge School. She enjoys writing stories about sustainability, PRS events, and politics. Gwen has played on the girls’ varsity volleyball teams (indoor and beach) since junior year and recently started playing soccer again. She is a member of SWEnext club and the Smiles for Seniors service learning group. She has enjoyed trying new things, like journalism, during her senior year. Gwen hopes to study engineering or public health in college.
